Baby Moll

Six years ago Peter Mallory quit the Florida Mob and never looked back. He took his hard earned money and set himself up in a fishing shop on the Florida coast. Met a girl and got engaged. Now someone is gunning for his old boss and Peter is the only one who can find out who it is and why they are doing it before it's too late for his former mob boss.
It's a pretty basic plot, but the book is written so visually. You can see what Farris wanted the movie to look like even if they never made the movie. The characters are well rounded for an old pulp novel and the suspense that Farris generates makes this one of those impossible to put down books.
