The only condition he gives her in exchange for the information of where their history can be found, is that of her silence. She can never share what she sees or learns from her exploration. Unable to walk away from the lure of an unknown people, she takes an afternoon hike by herself to search them out. She discovers what must have been a welcoming gate at the entrance of the village and literally stumbles over the cairns that once supported it. Before she knows it, her world is spinning, and suddenly she’s being yanked up off the ground into the arms of a group of very large, very frightening, very green males.

It doesn’t matter that this is completely impossible. It doesn’t matter that this has got to be some kind of dream or hallucination. It doesn't matter that Orcs don’t exist. What matters is that according to their laws, she must choose one of them as her husband. And if she refuses, their Chieftain will choose for her. She will marry an Orc and become his property whether she likes it or not.
