Light in the Darkness

Light in the Darkness is the inspiring story of a young French woman during the Franco-German war. During the hardships of wartime, hope is found in the most unexpected person-a German colonel who quarters his soldiers in her home. This story is tenderly written from the heart of Leonie as she recounts the war-torn years:
"That was a sad time for me. Now, when it is all behind me in the past, I can say, "He doeth all things well; I know it, I believe it." But still the wounds have not ceased bleeding. I feel, as I write down this history of my life, all the pain afresh. But I know that every bitter affliction has brought me nearer to Jesus; His love is more to me than all I have lost, I have given my treasures to Him, and they are not lost, but gone before."
