Unlikely (G.R.I.T.S., Love & the Paranormal, #1)

Tarot. Trouble. True love?

Lexi Landry, half Werewolf, half Witch — with zero skills — has eked out a life on the fringe of New Orleans supernatural society. But now the spells protecting Lexi's peace have faded, and her feral wolf has slipped her leash.

When Lexi opens a tattered tarot deck, she accidentally frees The Hierophant: an ancient, non-corporeal entity which gifts her the power of persuasion. Convincing the sexy Werewolf Alpha, Clint Pontalba, to be her bodyguard and help her control her wolf is easy, thanks to her new ability. His agreement doesn’t make up for his past rejection, but it’s a start.

Lexi’s emotions ping-pong between guilt and joy when Clint proposes she join his pack. But with The Hierophant at work, it’s impossible to tell what’s obedience — and what’s true love. And Lexi’s secret is the envy of dangerous foes…

A happily ever after seems Unlikely, but a second chance with her mate is worth the risk.
