Poppy & Shadow: The Missing Moonlight (Poppy & Shadow #1)

Poppy & Shadow: The Missing Moonlight is a gentle children’s picture book about curiosity, friendship, and learning to slow down when something feels uncertain.

When Poppy, a brave and curious little boxer puppy, notices that the moon has disappeared from the night sky, she becomes worried and determined to find it. With her quiet and thoughtful best friend, Shadow the black cat, by her side, Poppy sets off on a magical moonlit adventure through the garden, the park, and down to the pond.

Along the way, they ask sleepy flowers and a wise owl where the moon has gone, searching high and low for the missing moonlight. Poppy is eager to rush ahead, while Shadow gently reminds her to pause, look closely, and think carefully.

As the clouds drift away, the moon finally returns, showing Poppy that it was never truly gone, only hidden for a little while. In the soft glow of the night, Poppy learns that the world feels less frightening when shared with someone you love.

Written in soft rhyme with a soothing bedtime feel, Poppy & Shadow: The Missing Moonlight is ideal for young readers. It celebrates friendship, patience, reassurance, and the comfort of knowing that even in uncertain moments, we are never alone.
