Dark Asset (Marc Portman #4)

A secret deal. A murdered agent. A hard drive worth killing for. Marc Portman is back — and this time, he’s the target.

Marc Portman, codename Watchman, is sent into Mogadishu in East Africa on a simple to back up a French intelligence agent and recover a critical hard drive.

But when Portman arrives, the agent is already dead and gunmen are swarming the building.

The hard drive holds evidence of covert talks between Western governments and a senior al-Shabaab leader. Talks that were never meant to come to light. Now the exchange has been shut down, and anyone connected to it is marked for elimination.

Betrayed by the very people who sent him, Portman must fight to escape one of the most dangerous cities on the planet. But getting out of Mogadishu is only the beginning — because now he’s not just caught in the crossfire . . . he’s at the top of the kill list.
