Allie's Shelter (Cypress Security #1)

After his military service, Ross Carpenter launched Cypress Security with a few close friends and planted the business in his small hometown. But coming home comes with the inevitable blasts from the past.

Most recently? His newest client has accused Allie Williams, a woman he hasn’t seen or forgotten since their high school graduation, of serious crimes.

Allie is on the run, toting evidence that her company’s new wonder-drug has deadly side-effects. In an attempt to save lives--including her own--she escapes to her hometown, hoping to find someone who will listen.

The someone turns out to be Ross, her high school sweetheart.

Although he’s working for her enemy, he saves her from the killer hired to silence her. And guards her from mounting danger as the company tries to suppress the truth.

For Ross, the woman who stole his heart is worth any risk. He’ll do whatever it takes to expose the web of lies and clear the way for a future where they can be together. Forever.
