When it Rains, it Poes

Some doors open by accident.

Some open because they were waiting for you.

Hadley James was only trying to save her struggling museum with a little Poe-themed fundraising magic. She never meant to tear a hole in the veil—or drag Edgar Allan Poe, beautiful, grieving, and impossibly alive, straight into her world…and into her arms.

But something crawled through with him.

For more than a century, it has worn his stories like skin. Fed on grief. Waited in the dark between worlds. And now, it’s starving.

The tether keeping Poe anchored to the living world is fraying. And the only way to save him—the man her heart is already claiming—is for Hadley to step into the ancient wound her bloodline left bleeding centuries ago.

Because the entity doesn’t want Poe anymore.

It wants Hadley.

It wants the door only she can open.

When It Rains, It Poes is a contemporary gothic supernatural romance for readers of Mexican Gothic and The Thirteenth Tale who crave atmosphere, literary allusion, and a modern story steeped in historical gothic tradition.
