American Pines

Jamie Pierce was supposed to be passing through.
A snowstorm forces him into the quiet town of Straten, a place of flickering neon lights, empty roads, and unanswered questions. One night at a roadside motel puts him in the wrong place at the wrong time. By morning, a woman is dead¿ and Jamie's wallet is found at the scene.

Now he's the prime suspect in a town that's already decided his guilt.

As Jamie retraces his steps through diners, dive bars, and shadowed backroads, the story begins to unravel. A paranoid ex-con, a waitress with secrets, and a detective caught between truth and pressure all point toward something deeper lurking beneath Straten's frozen surface.
But in a town like this, the truth isn't something you find...It's something that finds you.
