In this 7-book box set:

BOOK 1: THE C.I.D. ROOM
Detective Inspector Robert Fusil’s career is on the line. A new challenging case lands of his desk involving thousands of pounds’ worth of stolen gold. Saddled with newly promoted Detective Constable Kerr, whose attitudes to police work differ sharply to his own, Fusil must overcome his own judgements to get to the bottom of the case.

BOOK 2: CIRCLE OF DANGER
Three drownings in three months: Fusil refuses to accept the coroner’s verdicts of accidental deaths. Leading the investigation, Kerr is forced into the centre of a drugs ring and becomes enthralled with a potentially dangerous woman. Can he untangle his feelings to catch the real criminals?

BOOK 3: MURDER AMONG THIEVES
A well-planned heist against a supposedly ‘robbery-proof’ van leaves two guards dead and two others badly hurt — and huge sums of money missing. As Fusil closes in on the armed gang, the suspects show up murdered, one by one. Who is really responsible for the armed robbery?

BOOK 4: GUILT WITHOUT PROOF
Fusil seeks to connect a hijacked lorry with a corpse discovered in a burnt-out cellar. He is frustrated by over-attentive superiors, a lack of funds and political squabbles. DI Fusil disregards orders in search of the truth.

BOOK 5: DESPITE THE EVIDENCE
Constable Kerr stumbles upon a dead or dying man in a crashed car, but is suddenly knocked unconscious. When he recovers, he learns the man is fine, but he is convinced there is more at play and uncovers a trail of theft and murder.

BOOK 6: CALL BACK TO CRIME
Fusil and Kerr disregard their bosses’ objections and stubbornly search for a link between a woman killed in an ‘accidental’ fire and the assault of an ex-convict. Is the one-time villain being blackmailed back into a life of crime?

BOOK 7: FIELD OF FIRE
Fusil’s team uncover an assassination plot threatening two state visits. Then a brutal murder follows and a car plunges into the water at the local docks with the driver still inside. Things are only going to get worse for Fortrow C.I.D.
