Why gouache ?
Unfortunately, gouache has become the disfavored stepchild of painting. Often associated with school practice, it is now viewed primarily as a material for exercises or illustration rather than a proper style of painting in its own right. It is thus now more commonly used by designers and illustrators rather than by painters. However , it has many unique properties and presents its own challenges that make it a particularly endearing and pleasant to work with medium.
