Rescuing the Blacksmith (Brides of Cedar Falls #4)

When Cedar Falls’ most eligible bachelor decides to pursue the only woman in town who’s NOT trying to capture his attention…

After the tragic loss of her fiancé, Laura Bennett can’t imagine risking her heart a second time, so she devotes herself to charitable causes instead. She soon becomes known for her inability to turn away a stray animal, including the rider-less horse that wanders her way with a broken horseshoe on Christmas Eve. She pays an emergency visit to the blacksmith, doubting she’ll find the handsome bachelor at home. To her surprise, he’s hard at work at his forge.

Wyatt James wishes he could skip the holidays, since all they do is dredge up past heartache for him. When the shy and lovely Laura Bennett barrels into his workshop, however, he experiences his first spark of holiday cheer in a long time — a spark that’s laced with a dose of good old-fashioned attraction to the one woman in town who’s made it clear she’s not in the market for a husband. He decides on the spot that he’ll just have to find a way to change her mind!

This book was previously part of the Christmas Rescue Series and has since been rewritten and re-edited to be part of the BRIDES OF CEDAR FALLS — uplifting historical romance stories full of faith, hope, love, and cowboys!
