Lily (Garden Belles Mail-Order Brides Book 3)

Lily Neumann’s happy life is turned upside-down when she is forced to quit college to take her ill mother’s place at the slaughter factory. Her father also had a condition that kills him, and they are being evicted from their apartment. Lily is desperate for a solution. Can the Garden Belles help with a groom? She regains hope until she meets the man they have chosen for her.

Walter Hobbes reads in the March 23 newspaper that he has a chance to obtain free land in Oklahoma if he can get there by Noon, April 22. He needs a wife to complete his ideal plans, but can he find one quickly enough to travel over four hundred miles in time to attend the race?

How could the matchmaking sisters know that Walter Hobbes was the awful boss who picked on Lily every day and is the last person Lily would want to start a new life with? With her parents’ passing and the landlord adding pressure, she must decide within the hour, or be out on the streets, alone. Can she accept this crazy idea of rushing to Oklahoma to claim 160 acres and find happiness with a man she has grown to hate?
