The Rules of Playing with Fire (The Dallas Connection #2)

Rule #1: Do not play with fire.

Sona Thomas isn’t looking for love. An assistant professor working toward her tenure, she is content with her life and career. Until she meets Mihir. He is enigmatic, charming, brilliant, and everything she needs to stay away from. After two heartbreaking relationships, Sona knows better than to touch fire with her bare hands. Too bad she can’t seem to resist the hot ball of magnetism that keeps drawing her in.

Mihir Seth doesn’t do relationships. The success of his business rests on his carefully curated image as a cold-hearted, ruthless man. Then, the warm and sassy Sona walks into his life, spinning his world off its axis. She matches him wit for wit and has him rethinking his long-held stance on love and commitment, until a shocking revelation threatens to upend his dreams. His search for the truth eventually brings him to Sona’s doorstep with a question he will she allow him back in her life?

Now, Sona must decide if she can afford to withstand the loss of Mihir’s fire, or risk being consumed by his flames again. The thing about fire is, once you’ve felt its touch, your entire world feels cold without it.

The Rules of Playing with Fire is a steamy, angsty contemporary romance with South Asian characters.
