Lone Daemon (Maddy Deeds, #2)

Battling a master vampire should have been the highlight of my week. But it was only Tuesday.

My cryptid hunting agency—yes, the same one I conned into hiring me—has been contracted to catch a supernatural arsonist. The perpetrator is targeting LA’s homeless, and the body count is rising fast.

Though I’ve sworn to keep my distance from Kyle, my intuition is pushing me into a partnership. Danger, Maddy! Not only will I have to hide my true nature and growing attraction, but we’re uncovering evidence that a powerful player is behind the attacks—and they’ll eliminate anyone who gets in their way.

Meanwhile, I’m in a race against shadowy operatives to discover the origin of my mother’s locket. The answers may lurk in my childhood home where my demon first awakened—and the last place I ever wanted to return.

As fire and ash sweep the city, time is running out. But stopping the arsonist could cost me everything. My secrets…my sanity…quite possibly my soul....

Can’t it just be Tuesday again?
