Happy Palentine's Day

It started with a video that went viral—my best friend proposing to me in the middle of a sandy beach. The sun was bright, water glittering…

Actually, back up. It started with my best friend tripping and landing on one knee in the sand while trying to catch a frisbee. I mock-accepted his proposal, having no idea some has-been social media influencer was filming stunts just up the shore.

The "romantic" moment between two guys was caught on camera, and now the world is demanding more. Valentine's Day is coming in two weeks and the public wants our special day on film.

Tate and I are a couple of broke beach bums who can't afford the recent hike in our rent, so the money offered would be nice.

We need the cash. He needs the content. Seems like an easy decision. I'm not gay, but Tate is, and we've known each other our entire lives. We could probably fake it.

Besties to pretend Valentines. What could go wrong?
