On the Wright Path (World Wrights, #2)

Rebecca could control Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, so why was the rest of her life spinning out of control? Finally awarded her rightful rank as Master Full Wright, Rebecca would just as soon get on with repairing the damage to her shop and return to normal life. But the Queen has gotten it in her craw that Rebecca should start a school for female Wrights—something beyond the Guild’s imagination, and therefore a threat to the world's natural order.

But with orders from the Queen and a wealthy patron footing the bill, what choice has she but to become a school mistress?

As Guild Secretary, Master Full Wright David Enright’s hands are full. The Guild Master expects him to help identify students for Rebecca’s school, handle the disgruntled traditionalists, and marry Rebecca as soon as possible. But between Rebecca’s flame-tamer’s temper and the Guild’s hidebound elders, David can’t make headway on anything, even what he most wants for himself, pursuing Rebecca.

With the Guild divided about the legitimacy of female Wrights, the prospect of a school to train them turns the disgruntled Wrights desperate. The disenfranchised faction is ready to do anything to stop the school, to stop Rebecca, to stop anything that looks like change.

But since the Wrights face extinction if they don’t join the modern age, David and Rebecca have little choice but to use everything at their disposal to get them on the Wright path.
