Memoir of Rati

“Fate forces them to part, yet leads them to reunite.”

Whether it is destiny that brings them together, in the end, this conclusion is destined for them.

Phra Surathithamthanaphit is rumored to be someone who favors men. No matter which family's daughter tries to court him, they all end up disappointed.

"P' Chaem, don't call him that!"

"But that's what people are saying, sir."

"If what they say is true, wouldn’t people start thinking I’m his lover because of how close he is to me? Words can be dangerous, P' Chaem. You need to watch what you say."

The interpreter who comes with the diplomatic group speaks with urgency. If he truly has no interest in women, then why, after just arriving from France, has he been so attentive and caring toward him?

That probably is not affection…perhaps?
