Seasoned Tales: Stories Inspired by the Seasons

Some books ask for your whole weekend. This one just asks for an afternoon.

Seasoned Tales is a collection of seven complete stories, one for every mood, one for every season, and one for every kind of reader you have ever been.

In spring, young Margaret learns about fun from a mischievous fairy. Lord Duke Ravenwood, meanwhile, finds that his famously gloomy outlook on the season is not quite as appreciated as he assumed.

In summer, a college student named Elotie sets out to unmask a secret admirer and finds something far more unexpected waiting at the end of her search. Hannah, on the other hand, has made a quiet peace with the man her husband becomes every summer, and she is not entirely sure she wants autumn to arrive.

In autumn, James prays desperately for rain, and the rain answers, though not in the way he hoped. And somewhere nearby, a ghost drifts through the season quite certain he was famous for something, if only he could remember what.

In winter, a mountain man stumbles in from the cold and finds that shelter and Christmas cheer have a way of arriving together.

Seven stories. Four seasons. Every genre from fantasy to romance to ghost story to something quietly, unexpectedly moving.
