Final Arrangements (The Afterlife Files #3)

Funeral director Wren Grimm expects a routine pickup. Instead, she finds Claus VonWiggler—Honeyvale’s pushiest developer and professional nuisance—dead in the rubble of the old strip mall, lo mein spilled at his side. The coroner rules it an allergy accident. Wren’s empathic gift says sabotage.

Claus leaves behind more enemies than a frosty widow, furious locals he strong-armed out of their shops, and supernaturals he may have been blackmailing. With a sarcastic ghost, a vampire who never does anything quietly, and a cat who always seems one step ahead, Wren’s investigation is anything but by-the-book.

Because in Honeyvale, even the final arrangements refuse to stay neat and tidy.
