Entombed with the Entrepreneur (The Dishonourable Paxtons)

He’s a tradesman marked by scandal. She’s a spinster, dependent on her relatives. So how does she end up buried alive with a man she was meant to despise?

Despite her statuesque frame, Lady Felicity has resigned herself to a small existence. She earns her keep by chaperoning her beautiful cousin, Vivi, and if she cannot explore the world in truth, at least she can indulge in the scientific journals she borrows from the neighbours.

But when Vivi enlists her help in chasing off an unwanted suitor, Felicity isn’t prepared for Mr. Black, whose giant stature nearly matches the size of his reputation. He isn’t meant to be kind, or clever—or handsome! How can the illegitimate son of a social pariah make an old maid feel like the most important person in the room?

Now, with her very livelihood at stake, Felicity must walk a fine line between repulsing her cousin’s wealthy suitor and appeasing Vivi’s mercenary parents. When circumstances beyond her control trap her with the notorious nabob, what truths will come to light in the dark? Mr. Black would make a sturdy anchor, but if she wants to survive this disaster, Felicity will have to rely upon herself—and face her deepest fears.
