The Counting House (The Scorched Gold Trilogy Book 1)

Nina is the quiet and gifted daughter of the fae realm’s first human chancellor. Raised among an egalitarian, educated people, her life has been worlds apart from the wild, power-hungry fae.

Now, thrust from her sheltered home into a society that scorns her youth and gender, Nina must keep a cool head – managing the kingdom’s economy by day, while secretly pursuing the truth behind a devastating personal tragedy.

When she is forced into uneasy proximity with the infamous and unpredictable Prince Torrus, he succeeds in agitating her. Though bound by law from touching her, he seems to get further under her skin with every encounter.

Is he a suspect – or a potential ally in a ruthless court?

One thing is certain: Nina’s world view is about to be shattered.

The Counting House is the first volume in a rich, intricately layered romantasy trilogy of power, prejudice, and passion.

Perfect for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses and The Cruel Prince, this slow-burn fantasy romance offers enemies-to-lovers vibes and head-spinning twists in an epic magical world full of dark history and political intrigue.
