Concealed Secret (Buried Secrets 295 #3)

The chessboard is set, yet my pieces seem to crumble.

I thought I had the game figured out and that I could see victory in sight.

The tables have been flipped, and all my pieces have been left scattered.

Now I’m left trying to piece the board back together once more.

Ember died, and the god brought her back to life with strings attached.

Gage is gone. They took him, and I don’t know how we are going to find him.

I want to fall apart and crumble under the weight of it all.

Life doesn’t stop because we want it to. It continues on, even if we aren't ready.

Time is against us, and the god is neither patient nor in the mood for excuses.

My final anchor is Vane, but what happens after we bond?

Will it be one more check off the gods' to-do list, or will more be added to the pile?

What are the rules to a game you didn’t know you were playing?

The stakes couldn’t be higher, and this time? It’s all or nothing.
