Killer Anniversary at the Castle (Kitty McCray Cozy Mystery, #12)

An English castle, a clever young sleuth, and a glittering anniversary that ends in murder…

When Frobisher Castle hosts a lavish wedding anniversary celebration, the staff prepares a gala to remember for a glamorous American couple and their guests. With champagne flowing, gifts piled high, and the elegant blue ballroom set for dancing and speeches, the night promises to be a true milestone event.

Until the lights flicker out.

Moments later, the wealthy guest of honor is found dead, turning two decades together into a crime scene.

Castle employee, Kitty McCray, quickly discovers the marriage came with more baggage than presents and the victim had no shortage of enemies. His freeloading half-brother and nephew relied on his fortune to fund their extravagant lifestyles, while a furious film star watched her movie dreams collapse when he pulled the plug on her film.

With help from the castle’s charming owner Richard, his loyal Labrador and reluctant Inspector Haddock, Kitty and her beloved cat Mittens, begin piecing together the truth.

Because someone at this anniversary party didn’t come to celebrate twenty years of marriage. They came to make sure the couple never made it to twenty-one.
