Dancing with the Ex-Military Mountain Man: Fun Small Town Romance (Wild Rose Mountain K-9 Rescue)

I march my paint-splattered idiot brother into Ramsey’s Roadhouse at paintball gunpoint and demand he apologize to the woman he wronged. (Yeah, he’s already wearing a bit of my convincing.)What knocks me totally off balance is the owner.

Six-foot-five. Black hair, silver-threaded, swept back from his face. Tattooed in ways that threaten to make me drool. Muscular arms that deserve their own monument. Yet he’s staring at me—me, obvious limp, combat boots that totally don’t go with my dress, righteous fury and all.

He’s got to be checking out someone behind me.

Nope. Wall of ex-Marine muscle steps directly into my path, orders me to stay.

Whoa, boy. I’m wholly unprepared to become the focus of a man like that.

Tigg Ramsey doesn’t flinch at my limp. Doesn’t pity me either. Although there’s a flash of pain haunting the depths of his eyes. It’s gone in a blink, replaced by a smile that devastates my equilibrium. And is he…flirting? With me?

Omigosh! He is! This huge ex-Marine is actually flirting, asking for a dance.

And getting shot down fast. Some days I can barely walk.

After I lose a bet and he wins that dance—despite my legit protests—this man, full of surprises from the moment we met, vows I’m the strongest woman he’s ever known. Then proves his strength by lifting me into his arms and dancing me across the floor as if my body weighs nothing.

For the first time since the accident that stole my ballet career, I feel weightless again. Free.

“You were made to fly, angel,” he murmurs, spinning us through the crowd. “And I’m never letting you hit the ground again.”One dance floor. One starlit night on his rooftop.

And suddenly I’m ready to let the mountain man claim me any way he wants.
