Faking It With My Hockey Star Ex

My ex agreed to fake date me to save my hockey career. Now I’m renovating her apartment… and falling for her for real.
The last time Josie Calloway trusted me, I gave her every reason not to.
When my franchise decides my reputation needs fixing, asking my ex-girlfriend to fake date me was risky.
In my defense, I was desperate.
I need this town to see more than the headlines.
And she needs the apartment above her bookstore renovated.
So we make rules and call it temporary.
Now I see her every day.
Watch her build a life that doesn’t include me.
And for the first time, I want something more than hockey.
I want her.
Then photographs from my old life resurface.
A developer threatens her bookstore.
Rumors spread that my hockey franchise is behind it.
Josie thinks I betrayed her.
No matter how badly I want to fix this, she holds the one thing I can’t control –
Whether I’ve already lost my shot with her for good.
