Stealing Home (San Diego Barracudas #2)

Some promises are meant to be broken.

Dominic Rizzo plays professional baseball, has a large Italian family with no understanding of inside voices or boundaries, and his best friends are a pair of reformed idiots in love. At twenty-four, he’s focused on baseball and having a good time.

Until his ex-girlfriend shows up with a newborn she claims is Dominic’s and then walks away.

Suddenly, Dominic’s life is middle-of-the-night feedings, road trips with a diaper bag, and a baby girl who deserves everything he has to give. Between baseball and Lucia, every hour of his life is spoken for, and there’s no time left over for dating or distractions.

But then the contractor Dominic hires to renovate his home shows up looking like something he doesn’t have time to want.
Gavin Carter knows how to build a home. He also knows how quickly one can disappear. After a wildfire destroys his house, business, and marriage, Gavin starts over in San Diego with smaller jobs and fewer expectations.

A gorgeous baseball player with an unfiltered mouth and a baby tucked against his chest has no place in Gavin’s new, careful life.

Between road trips, kitchen kisses, and evenings spent listening for the baby monitor, keeping things casual becomes impossible. When Dominic’s and Gavin’s pasts come calling, will their desire for each other survive the final inning?
