Mountain Man Guardian (Mountain Men of Pineville #7)

Wounded during an undercover assignment Ross London returns to Pineville for some R & R only to discover a second chance with his first love.

ROSS LONDON
For two decades I've lived and breathed duty to my country.
But times change, especially when a bullet with my name on it narrowly misses my spinal cord.
I’m back home and it's time for a new purpose.
The name on the referral from my doc hits me harder than any bullet ever could.
I mean, how many Astrids can there be in Pineville?

ASTRID JOHANSSON
My days are filled with patients and much-needed patience in dealing with my pre-teen son.
Life is well…progressing, if not lonely. Full of family, friends, and now a new home on Pineville Mountain.
On moving day, the surprise of a lifetime shows up in a burly and broody blast from my past…the man I gifted my virginity and broke my heart all in the same week.
Then lightning strikes twice on a stormy night nearly twenty years later, and we begin a secret romance even as I guard my heart, knowing he'd leave soon.
But when I learn the truth of his disappearance all those years ago can I forgive and believe him when he tells me he now wants a shot at forever?
