Haunted Spurs (Elm Hollow After Dark, #1)

Selene Dusk is the queen of gothic erotica. Her pages are filled with darkness, obsession, and brutal passion—but her own life has completely fallen apart. Cynical, antisocial, and suffering from the worst writer’s block of her career, she seeks inspiration in the last place she ever expected to find it: the arms of a cowboy.

One unforgettable night later, Selene disappears, convinced she’ll never see him again.

Until she returns to her eccentric, gossip-obsessed hometown of Elm Hollow, where her ruthless literary agent gives her an ultimatum: break through her writer’s block or lose everything. Her solution? Compete on Haunted Spurs, a chaotic new reality show filmed on a historic, haunted ranch.

There’s only one problem: contestants must compete in pairs. And her partner has to be a cowboy.

Enter Ron Willers—the town’s new cowboy, owner of the haunted ranch, and the annoyingly charming man with broad shoulders, an illegal dimple, and a smile bright enough to destroy her carefully crafted darkness. He agrees to join the show on one condition: Selene is his partner.

Forced to share a roof—and the only king-sized bed—with the man who threatens every wall she’s built around herself, Selene finds her inspiration returning faster than she can resist him. But between haunted challenges, reality TV chaos, and a cowboy determined to prove that kindness can be just as addictive as obsession, the Queen of Darkness may be facing the one story she never saw coming:

A love story.
