What a Meddlesome Duke (The Marriage Managing Society #5)

Lady Polly Hapsley adores towering trees, babbling brooks, and studying all things out of doors! So, when she and her mother are invited to a house party at an estate with one of England’s oldest forests on its land, they must attend. In the woods, she meets a rather strange but handsome fellow and is mystified by how confidently he thinks he can control everything. The Duke of Rivers is everything she shouldn’t want in a man, but once they begin to banter, it is obvious that she has been sent into his life to help him find joy, love, and a world he never could’ve imagined! Now, if only he could stop being so stubborn!

Walks in the woods are well and good, but Gilbert Matthew Benson, Duke of Rivers, has too much to do to partake in such frivolity. Not only is he a duke, he’s managing the ton’s marriages in secret, and that’s more work than any one man should have. Yet, at a house party, he finds himself on such a walk, and meets one of the young ladies he’s determined to find a match for. Soon, much to his frustration, he realizes he might desire Lady Polly! But her optimistic and carefree view of life goes against his own skeptical view. Can a stubborn matchmaker fall for a carefree lover of nature? Only a whirlwind stay in the country, and a few passionate kisses, can tell.
