Murder on the Casino Bus: A Ruby Jean Turner Cozy Mystery (Ruby Jean Turner Mysteries Book 1)

Do not sit in Sister Bernadine's seat.

Ruby Jean Turner runs the Mount Zion Fellowship and Recreation Travel Club, which is what the church bulletin calls a bus full of grown people going to a casino every third Saturday. She has done it for nine years. She has never lost a passenger.

Then Deacon Wilford Hayes climbs on in a burgundy walking suit, sits down in Sister Bernadine's seat like the Lord called him there personally, and by the time the bus reaches Alabama he is dead in it.

Now Ruby Jean has forty-one church members who all saw something and agree on nothing, a homicide sergeant she taught in Sunday school, a cousin who says out loud what everybody else is thinking, and a secret that has been riding this bus since 1983.

She has the clipboard. She has the list. She is going to get everybody home.

The first Ruby Jean Turner Mystery — a Southern cozy about church ladies, long memories, and the kind of trouble that waits forty-three years for a ride.
