Helkite

Prince Marcus Volstead was bred for duty. As an heir of a powerful interstellar empire and creator of the legendary Helkite Armor, his future is already written - win the war, secure a political marriage, and sacrifice whatever remains of himself for the good of the herd.

Then everything goes wrong. When a disastrous battle leaves Volstead stranded on a forgotten desert prison world at the edge of known space, his only hope of survival lies with an unlikely rescuer - July, a quick-talking magpie outlaw who survives by his wits, his luck, and a complete disregard for authority.

Feelings growing deeper by the day, the two of them must escape from the prison world, but find themselves pursued by a mysterious bounty hunter intent on tracking them down across the planet - and across the galaxy.
