Don Trask assigns Agent Danny Carlisle of the Duluth office to look into the missing girl's background. Carlisle's investigation leads her to the University of Minnesota at Duluth where she is stonewalled, and soon in danger, while the Trask brothers follow other leads bringing them to the conclusion that a serial killer is roaming northern Minnesota, abducting young women who disappear forever.
