My phone rings. ‘The project has been put back for two weeks.’
My first thought is disappointment, then it hits me. I look up and smile. ‘Thank you,’ I mouth.
I message my wife…
‘The project’s been cancelled… do you want to walk the Camino Portugués?’
I wait. Minutes seem like hours.
My phone buzzes and flashes.
‘We haven’t done any training,’ comes the reply.
My phone buzzes and flashes a second time.
‘I need some new trainers.’
Again it buzzes.
‘Let’s do it.’
