To Be Held Again

Addison Burke longed to be held. To feel big strong arms wrapped around him again. He’d spent the better part of his life raising his daughter Angel, only to see her marry and move away. Now for the first time in his life Addie was alone. No daughter. No man. No Life. He wished he had someone of his own. Someone like… Malachi Douglass.

Over the past year every Saturday Malachi mowed Addison Burke’s lawn, hoping to gain the man’s attention. Quietly watching as Addie drifted through life, living only for his daughter. But Angel was now in another state with her new husband, leaving Addie alone. It was time to make his move. Time to let Addison Burke know, he wasn’t alone.

With a wink here and a nudge there from the people in town and a loving daughter, Addie and Malachi may both get what they want. If Nick Sutcliffe would stop interfering, that is.
