The Lament Years

It’s been 79 years since the disease that nearly killed off the human race attacked the world. Now living on the Island is Talise, a young girl among the survivors of the human race. Talise has her world thrown upside down on the day her adult life is to begin.

In a place where being different and asking too many questions isn’t an option, Talise finds herself in a predicament where she must fight to save her family, friends, and possibly everyone else on the Island.

Talise’s life is constantly on the line as she learns some of the lies she’s been fed since the beginning. But Talise wants to escape; to go outside. A place she didn’t even think existed until her 18th birthday, due to the 80ft wall that keeps them all caged in.

Will her new love help her on this quest, or add to the risk? Everything is at stake for this young girl as she embarks on a dangerous mission she didn’t sign up for, but can’t back out of.
