Her Oregon Trail Miner (Oregon Trail Brides #2)

Four orphans and their headmistress set out for Oregon in search of men looking for mail-order brides. Will they find what they are looking for? Or will fate have other plans?

Cora Randall wants nothing more than to find a husband, become his wife, and have children. She’s dreamed about it ever since she could remember and ever since her parents died when she was just five years old. All she wants is a family of her own, so when the chance for her to go to Oregon to find love and marriage falls in her lap, she jumps at the chance—and at the first man who shows her a little interest.

Mason Scott knows one thing—how to find gold. A miner who has traveled all over the country looking for the gold in the ground, he decides to head west to California by way of a wagon train headed to Oregon. He keeps to himself most of the time, finding enjoyment in searching for gold at every river the wagon train comes to.

When a woman is killed by one of the men on the wagon train, Mason doesn’t hesitate to step in to protect the vile man’s next victim—Miss Cora Randall. But can he keep her safe? Or will the man live to haunt them all the way to Oregon?
