Taken (Blood Moon, Texas Shifters, #7)

Psychiatrist and werewolf Calgary Caldwell has spent two decades hiding the rare magic he inherited, magic that allows him to project into minds and take away free will. But when the violent and unstable projectionist Matteo Rossi attacks his hometown of Blood Moon, Texas, abducting a young child from his pack, Cal will stop at nothing to get him back, even if it means using powers he’s so far refused to touch.

Fallon Gray spent three years as a prisoner of the Vampire Nation, part of their program of medical experimentation on wolf shifters. Her six-year-old son Jonah is everything to her. Now she works as a neural manipulator for the Tracers, the elite military branch of the werewolf council, and has been tasked with apprehending Matteo Rossi. Her feelings for Calgary Caldwell are a complication, and complications are one thing neither of them can afford while hunting a ruthless killer who seems to always stay one step ahead of them.

When Fallon gets an emergency call while out in the field, her world shatters. Matteo Rossi has her son and has set off a mental time bomb inside the neural pathways of someone close to the President. The clock is ticking, and Cal and Fallon will have to work together to bring Jonah home and eliminate Rossi before it’s too late.
